CHAR DHAM YATRA (9N/10D)

The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimage journeys in India, located in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. It includes four holy temples: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Each temple is dedicated to a different Hindu deity and holds great spiritual importance.

The journey begins from Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River, followed by Gangotri, the origin of the holy Ganga River. The third destination is Kedarnath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located in the Himalayas. The final destination is Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River.

This yatra offers a spiritual experience along with beautiful Himalayan views, river confluences, mountain villages, and scenic landscapes. The Char Dham Yatra usually takes place between May and October, as the temples remain closed during winter due to heavy snowfall.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi – Haridwar

    Depart from Delhi. Reach Haridwar by evening. Visit Har Ki Pauri and attend Ganga Aarti. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar – Barkot

    Drive to Barkot via Mussoorie. Visit Kempty Falls. Reach Barkot, hotel check-in. Dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.

Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

    Drive to Janki Chatti. Trek 6 km to Yamunotri Temple. Yamunotri Darshan. Trek back and return to Barkot. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Barkot – Uttarkashi

    Drive to Uttarkashi. Visit Maneri Dam/Waterfall. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in Uttarkashi.


Day 5: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

    Drive to Gangotri. Gangotri Temple Darshan. Return to Uttarkashi. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

    Long drive to Guptkashi. Hotel check-in and rest. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Guptkashi – Kedarnath

    Drive to Gaurikund. Trek to Kedarnath (18 km). Kedarnath Temple Darshan. Overnight stay in Kedarnath Camps/Dormitory.

Day 8: Kedarnath – Guptkashi

    Morning Darshan. Trek back to Gaurikund. Drive to Guptkashi. Dinner and overnight stay.


Day 9: Guptkashi – Badrinath – Pipalkoti

    Drive to Badrinath. Badrinath Temple Darshan. Visit Mana Village. Drive to Pipalkoti. Dinner and overnight sta

Day 10: Pipalkoti – Delhi

    Drive back to Delhi via Rishikesh. En route visit Dhari Devi Temple. Reach Delhi by evening. Trip ends.
